T Henri
Founded by designer and creative director Tyler Henri, the American maison approaches its frames as precisely engineered collectors’ pieces rather than seasonal accessories, defined by exceptional materials, technical sophistication and uncompromising attention to detail.
Its design DNA is closely connected to the world of exclusive automobiles. Tension in the lines, complex geometries and striking proportions are translated into eyewear and combined with traditional Japanese frame-making.
The frames are made in Japan from specially developed cotton-based cellulose acetate, titanium and elaborately finished metal components. Selected frames feature titanium elements coated in 18-carat gold. Solid acetate fronts, laminated temples, specially developed hinges and finely crafted fittings make the construction itself an expression of luxury.
A single frame passes through up to 250 production stages. The acetates are specially developed, dried and cured over extended periods, repeatedly sanded and tumbled, and finally polished by hand. This meticulous process creates a depth and precision that reveal themselves fully only on closer inspection.
T HENRI produces its frames exclusively in strictly limited, numbered Microproductions, often in editions of 199 pieces or fewer. Once an edition sells out, it is not routinely reissued.
The result is eyewear as a modern luxury object: rare, technically sophisticated and crafted with a level of detail that goes far beyond conventional frame production.
