Isaac Sellam is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary French avant-garde fashion. The Parisian designer founded Isaac Sellam Experience in 2002, following many years of intensive exploration of leather, its properties and new ways of working with it. Sellam continues to see his atelier as a laboratory for materials and construction.

His work centres on leather with exceptional qualities, textures and treatments. Anatomical cuts, visible construction, distinctive metal staples, functional fastenings and deliberately exposed seams are characteristic of his designs. Sellam develops each silhouette from the properties of the material itself. Even technically demanding leathers can be worked to feel surprisingly light, flexible and almost like fabric.
The pieces are made by hand in Sellam's own Paris atelier, bringing development, cutting and construction together. This close connection to the craft gives each piece its distinctive character: small differences in leather, surface and workmanship develop further with wear.

The result combines craftsmanship, material research and an industrial aesthetic, at once raw and precise, and unmistakably Isaac Sellam.
