Disk Necklace – Matte Sterling Silver + Ruby Slab
Description
A violet-red ruby slab forms the centre of this Disk Necklace by Parts of Four. Its angular, roughly hexagonal outline sits on a round surface of matt sterling silver. Dark inclusions and irregular patches run through the stone, leaving a broad, pale metal rim exposed around it.
The silver disc measures 40 mm in diameter. A substantial round bail joins its upper edge to the 740 mm chain. The simple circular form brings the ruby's markings into focus.

Founded by Evan Sugerman in 2011, Parts of Four deliberately works outside conventional ideas of jewellery. The label treats each piece as an object, defined by material, weight, surface and construction.
